The Brazilian Blowout- A Cure for Frizzy Hair?

Oct. 7, 2010: Since writing this article, new news about the safety of Brazilian Blowout has surfaced. Read my review of the Blowout and the news here.

My friend Talia just got a Brazilian Blowout. Talia and I look nothing alike (she’s exotic, half Israeli), but the one physical attribute we do have in common is curly, frizzy, difficult-to-manage hair. We both find that straightening takes a really long time and is often not even worth it. So, when she told me about this miracle treatment, I was intrigued.
A Brazilian Blowout softens whatever curl or wave you have so if the hair is air dried without a blow dryer, it will still have curl but no frizz. Or, if you want to blow dry your hair straight, without a brush, it takes a fraction of the time it used to.
I don’t know all the details about the treatment yet, but I do know that Talia is VERY happy with her results.
Because I’ve never had the treatment, I’m probably not the best source of information about it. Here is a video from E! Entertainment, explaining the Brazilian Blowout in more detail. Check it out.
What do you guys think? Would you ever get something like this done to your hair? I’m considering it. I’ll let you know when I make a decision.

As a fellow product junky I can thoroughly recommend this treatment too Sarah.
It’s a lot less hassle than daily straightening and makes styling really easy.
Just stay away from any products which contain Formaldehyde, which is a potentially dangerous chemical used by some producers as it’s cheap and effective.
If you’re looking for more info before you get your own Brazilian Blowout, check out my blog – http://brazilianfab.wordpress.com/ where I wax lyrical(ish) about Brazilian hair and beauty products – which really are fab by the way.
Keep up the great work, I love your style.

I had my first Brazilian Blowout in August 2008. I am completely addicted!!! And since I’m a hair stylist, I got certified to offer the treatment and have now done more than 150 of them! Info, pics, testimonials and FAQ at http://www.jordanalorraine.com
