Pulling together cute outfits for an evening out on the town is tricky enough when there isn’t the threat of snow on the horizon. But when it’s snowing and raining off and on all day – all I can think about is curling up on the couch with Boyfriend and Puppy and enjoying some tea and a good TV show (The Big Bang Theory is our new favorite!) It’s times like these when it’s the hardest to pull myself together.
But… I managed. Boyfriend and I had a double date last weekend with another couple friend of ours and after piling on layer after layer of cozy essentials, I felt much better and ready to face the evening. All I can say is thank gosh for black tights. Believe me, women everywhere, young and old, are grateful to whoever invented them. I’m wearing my favorite pair in this outfit.
As the sun was setting, Boyfriend and I walked hand-in-hand in the freezing cold toward the Street Car that took us through Downtown Portland into the Pearl District for dinner and drinks with our friends.
What did you do this weekend?
Outfit details:
Old Forever 21 coat (similar style), Forever 21 scarf (similar), Steve Madden shoes, Roman Sunstone necklace & earrings (c/o Roman Sunstone), Gibson blazer (this year’s version) and (similar), H&M chocker (similar), Fendi bag, Spanx tights, NARS lipstick in ‘Jungle Red’
Also, Roman Sunstone was kind enough to send a bunch of jewlery my way! I’m wearing two of the pieces I received from them in these photos, specifically this necklace & these earrings. See more of their fashionable (and extremely affordable) collections at Romansunstone.com.
So cute and love, love, love those shoes! It is so hard to try and be cute when it’s cold, you’re right. But you did a great job!
I just started watching The Big Bang Theory! It’s great. Love the outfit too. :)
I love your blog, beautiful,i love your outfit, love those shoes,Love Nars Jungle Red
I love how the shoes and lipstick add a perfect pop of color to your winter look. And yes black tights are total life savers when you want to wear a dress in the cold weather.
I LOVE that green scarf! It’s beautiful!
Super cute! Love! Thanks for the info by the way, really appreciate it.

To be honest, on days like those you just described, my first instinct is to also choose the couch, some warm blankets, the amazing Boyfriend by my side + a great TV Show (we’re catching up on How I Met Your Mother, this month)…It is very, very hard to be pulled out of the house when the weather does her best to keep you indoors, but you managed to look adorable. I always love a black tights + colorful pumps combination :)Have a great week !

Love the pink pop! Agreed, the Portland weather has been ridiculous the last two weeks. Where did our dry December go?!
