4th of July Mid-Week “Weekend”

This year, it only ended up being the slightest bummer that 4th of July fell on a Wednesday. It’s pretty customary for Portlanders to head out to the beach for the 4th, but this year there really wasn’t enough time. Strangely enough, although we stayed in town, this short holiday felt like an entire weekend. Jam-packed full of outdoor fun, I really couldn’t have asked for a better mid-week weekend.
About the 4th of July snapshots above:
1-3: Watching the Timbers game. Whenever we scored a goal, green smoke would erupt from the stands and flags would wave everywhere!
4: Getting our basketball on after the Timbers game while touring the Multnomah Athletic Club.
5: Admiring the gorgeous painted ceiling in a friend’s dining room. (They had a housewarming party we attended after the Timbers game.)
6: Hiking at Council Crest Park on Wednesday morning.
7: BBQing with friends Wednesday evening in celebration of the 4th.
8: Enjoying the view from the 22nd floor of my building, before watching the fireworks.

Ps. I’d also like to add that on Wednesday after our hike, Boyfriend and I DEEP CLEANED our apartment. So yes, I’d say it was a pretty darn productive holiday.
