Jeans and a Tee. Oh and I’m leaving for New York
9 commentsThis week, I’m scrambling to get everything finished up at work (and for this blog) before leaving for New York City on Wednesday night to visit some friends I met on my Israel trip last winter. I’m sooo looking forward to it, even though it’s going to be a really quick vacation; I’m only in town August 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
I’ve been to NYC a fair amount, but less frequently in my adult life so if you have any tips for places to eat, shop, or go out then I’m all ears!
If you’re a friend of mine living there and I haven’t gotten in touch with you yet, it’s because I’m busy and stressed, NOT because I don’t want to see you. So shoot me a text or email and lets make arrangements to meet in the Big Apple!
Okay – let’s talk about this outfit…
Because I’m sure I’m about to lose your attention completely… My everyday uniform pretty much consists of some variation of the classic jeans and tee shirt combo. This sounds like a really boring outfit, I know. And sometimes it can be. But it doesn’t have to be. Throw in some fun, brightly colored flats and a statement necklace and you’ve instantly upped the interest factor for an otherwise dull ensamble.
Check back on my site this Wednesday for more ideas for how to dress up jeans and a tee shirt!
American Apparel shirt (similar, less expensive version), Paige jeans, Steve Madden sandals (similar), H&M necklace, Fendi bag
On a side note – my best friend from high school is hardly ever in Portland these days so it was such a treat to get to see her last weekend for dinner. We happened to show up wearing the same shirt (and we’re both named Sarah) so we just had to take a photo, obviously.
I absolutely love your necklace. Have the best time here! Let me know if you want to meet for a coffee! xo
I love your brightly colored flats- they're so cute! Hope you have an awesome time when you are here visiting in NYC :) If you haven't been to the High Line before, I would definitely recommend that you go!
You must go to Laduree and eat macaroons!
So adorable! Might have to purchase those great white pants :-)
You are rocking. Both the jeans and tee suit you. The necklace is looking great on you. Nnenna is on dot about your brightly colored flats. Add a Ray Ban aviator to your outfit.
Very cute! When you get back from NY, can you do a post about what clothes to buy for Fall 2012? Grad school is starting up again soon, and I definitely want to do my back to school shopping before I'm too busy to go to a mall! And I love your sense of style! Thank you, and have a great trip!
