How to Wear Fall’s Biggest Trends for Under $50

fall trends under $50

Here are six ways to incorporate some of my favorite fall trends into your existing wardrobe. Best of all, everything here is under $50!

Corset dress: ASOS ($45)
Wear this dress with crip white sneakers or dress it up with OTK boots.

Plaid Blazer: Target ($34.99)
Perfect with skinny jeans (or mom jeans – see below) and you’re favorite white t-shirt.

Mom Jeans: American Eagle ($49.95)
Mom jeans have gotten a bad rap in the past, but this flattering pair will give your look an effortless vibe whilst making your legs look miles long. Wear them with sneakers, flats, heels, or sock booties.

Red Statement Earrings: Baublebar ($48)
Red is this season’s color, and there are about a million ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. One of the easiest is with some on-trend statement earrings (that would happen to look great with all the outfits described above.)

Hoop Earrings: Jules Smith ($35)
Hoops are back, and in a big way. Replace your last-season’s studs with either a classic hoop, or something a little less traditional like these from Jules Smith.

Velvet: H&M ($14.99)
Velvet is EVERYWHERE this season. Wear this sexy little cami with jeans, heels and a leather jacket. Also, if you’re willing to spend a few bucks more than $50, check out both this dress and this jumpsuit – which would be perfect for fall weddings.

15 Summer Wedding Guest Dresses Under $200

Wedding guest dresses under $200

It’s that time of year again: Wedding Season! And the search for the perfect, affordable, and stylish dress is ON. These are some of my favorite dresses under $200 (many of which are even under $100). I’m loving all the romantic off-the-shoulder and one-strap styles this year. It’s the perfect way to show just a hint of skin but keep most things to the imagination.

2. Bardot dress ($119)
3. ASOS jumpsuit ($76)
4. Keepsake dress ($195)

6. Adlyn Rae dress ($101)
7. Pretty by Rory Floral ($78)

12. Bardot dress ($109)
13. ASOS dress ($190)
14. WAYF dress ($65)
15. Need Supply Co jumpsuit ($88)

Which is your favorite? It’s so hard for me to choose! I tried this one on in-store (they didn’t have my size) and it’s so gorgeous in person! The photo online doesn’t do it justice – the color is so rich and beautiful! And this one just came online today and I’m obsessed with it. All the summer weddings I have coming up call for semi-formal or cocktail attire, but if I had a black-tie wedding to go to, I would absolutely buy this one. So sassy and on-trend this season.

These dress roundups are always some of my favorite posts to put together. What can I say? I just looove love, and I looove wedding season! Let me know what you think and if you end up wearing any of these to any of your upcoming events.

What to Buy from the Shopbop Event of the Season Sale

Shopbop – my go-to retailer for quality trend pieces and designer fashion – just kicked off a MAJOR site-wide sale!

Take 20% off your entire order (OR 25% off orders of $500 or more) with code EVENT17 now through Friday, April 14th.

This is a great time to stock up on staples (like denim!) or fun spring and summer pieces! I’ve already placed an order for these, these and this. Check out my other recommendations below or start shopping the sale here.

(Prices shown before the discount – so take 20-25% off the listed prices. Click on any of the products below to shop.)

There are a myriad of reasons why Shopbop is tied with Nordstrom as my favorite retailer right now. If you’re looking for something well-made and stylish, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find it at Shopbop. Free and fast shipping (and free returns), styling suggestions at the bottom of every product page, and their well-curated selection of affordable fashion and designer options are just a few of the many reasons Shopbop is killing it right now.

Unfortunately, all the things I just mentioned are poorly kept secrets. So whenever Shopbop runs a site-wide sale like this, the good stuff tends to sell out fast! So if you see something you can’t live without, be sure to jump on it asap!

The Best Genuine Leather Handbags Under $150

Best Genuine Leather Purses Under $150

Best Genuine Leather Purses Under $150

When it comes to something that is going to get daily use, such as your handbag, I encourage you to buy the best quality that you can afford. But at the same time, I realize that not everybody can or wants to spend thousands or even hundreds of dollars on a handbag. So after getting a few requests from friends and readers, I’ve compiled a roundup of what I believe is the best value for the frugal fashionistia.

For bags, jackets, and shoes, I usually recommend real leather over faux or vegan leather because not only does it look and feel nicer (once you start buying it – you’ll really notice the difference in quality!), but it also tends to hold up much better than it’s faux or vegan counterpart. But with that said, genuine leather is almost always much more expensive than faux. That made this roundup a challenge, but I was still able to track down a bunch of genuine leather options at really great price points.

All of these bags are made from real leather, have a modern and stylish aesthetic, and should be quite practical for everyday use. There are mini and large bags listed here, so hopefully there is something for everybody!
